Carmela Brooks, owner of Carmela Occasions & Creations, is a native of Western North Carolina. She currently resides in the small town of Sylva, which is 50 miles west of Asheville.

Upon graduation from Western Carolina University, Carmela knew she wanted a career that would allow her creativity to shine. She has been in the event planning industry for more than 20 years and seldom meets a stranger. Her energetic personality, talent, preparation and keen eye for detail makes her one of the best event planners in the industry. She knows event planning can be stressful but her demeanor will put you at ease as she carefully puts your perfect day into motion.

When Carmela's not planning a wedding or an event she is making crafts to sell at local shops. She's active in her church and loves spending her spare time with family and friends! Carmela also loves to travel. Her motto is often "Work hard! Play hard!"
